Massage doesn’t mean you to have spend a great deal of time getting your body rubbed and stroked each week. A simple hand or foot massage for 30 minutes will soothe your nervous system, releasing any tension whilst promoting relaxation.
At times we can feel low, even slightly depressed – massage is known to reduce stress hormone levels, heart rate, blood pressure and boost mood & relaxation by triggering the release of oxytocin and serotonin.
Massage benefits our muscular system creating a positive effect on our bones. The soothing and stroking techniques I use in treatments can help to reduce stiffness and immobility around joints. Plus in working over the muscles to improve flexibility and tone it will also aid in reducing any strain on your joints and bones and assist with posture.
